第31篇 統(tǒng)一大業(yè)

臺灣是中國神圣領(lǐng)土不可分割的一部分。我將一如既往地堅持“和平統(tǒng)一，一國兩制”的基本方針，堅持主席關(guān)于發(fā)展兩岸關(guān)系、推進(jìn)祖國和平統(tǒng)一進(jìn)程的八項主張，大力發(fā)展兩岸經(jīng)濟、科技、文化等領(lǐng)域的交流與合作，增加人員往來，與臺灣同胞共同努力，堅決反對制造“臺灣獨立”、“兩個中國”、“一中一臺”等活動。

Taiwan is an inalienable part of the sacred territory of China. We will as always adhere to the basic principles of “peaceful reunification” ａｎｄ　“one country, two systems” ａｎｄ　to the eight-point proposal put forward by President Jiang Zemin on developing cross-straits relations ａｎｄ　promoting the peaceful reunification of the motherland. We will spare no efforts in expanding exchanges ａｎｄ　cooperation between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits in economic, scientific, technological ａｎｄ　cultural areas ａｎｄ　promote mutual visits of people. We will make joint efforts with our compatriots in Taiwan to firmly oppose any splittist activities aimed at achieving the “independence of Taiwan” ｏｒcreating “two Chinas” ｏｒ“one China, one Taiwan”.

我們希望臺灣當(dāng)局以民族大義和臺灣人民的根本利益為重，采取行動，早日實現(xiàn)兩岸直接通郵、通航、通商，并盡早回應(yīng)我們發(fā)出的在一個中國的原則下兩岸進(jìn)行政治談判的鄭重呼吁。祖國統(tǒng)一是不可阻擋的歷史潮流，臺灣問題是一定能夠解決的。臺灣的前途系于祖國統(tǒng)一，是沒有出路的。我們相信，在海峽兩岸全體中國人民和海外同胞的努力下，祖國完全統(tǒng)一，中華民族全面振興的共同愿望一定能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)。

We hope that the Taiwan authorities take into consideration the overall interests of the Chinese nation ａｎｄ　the fundamental interests of the people in Taiwan, take concrete steps fｏｒthe early establishment of direct links of postal, air and shipping services ａｎｄ　trade between the two sides ａｎｄ　that they respond as early as possible to our solemn appeal that the two sides conduct political negotiations under the principle of one China. The reunification of the motherlａｎｄ　is an irreversible historical trend. The Taiwan question will surely be resolved. Taiwan\\\'s future hinges on the reunification of the motherland, and to split the country is no way out. We are convinced that with the concerted efforts fｏｒall Chinese people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits ａｎｄ　our overseas compatriots, the common aspiration fｏｒthe complete reunification of the motherlａｎｄ?。幔睿洹he all-round rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will certainly be realized.
